Ms. Roberta, you truly are the best acting teacher EVER! Caroline has taken other theater classes in other places, but they were all about "rehearsing for the show at the end" - that was IT. But in YOUR class, she's truly learning the art and craft of ACTING: creating characters, improv, sensory exercises...the whole process. She's learning and growing so much, and she LOVES the class!
I also want to thank you for encouraging her to take a chance and go to the audition for the Broadway show, even though it's a challenging role. Your words "As actors, we're all about opening ourselves to new things and taking risks" really struck a chord in her. I'll let you know how it goes!
Oh, and I HAVE to tell you this: Caroline was very excited at having a chance at a Broadway show...but then she suddenly got upset and said "Oh, no...Mommy, if I get the part and have to do a show every night, would that mean I'd have to miss Acting Out! with Ms. Roberta? I don't want to miss Acting Out!" So there's a nice compliment for you: she'd rather take your class than be on Broadway! She decided if she gets the part, she'll ask them to have the understudy perform Wednesday nights so she doesn't have to miss your class!
