Passionate Pros Head Up Acting Workshop

ACTING OUT! is comprised of professional and energetic instructors who are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and adults through the world of performing arts. The staff ranges from instructors who have extensive resumes working with children to professors who teach in colleges. ACTING OUT! was co-founded by Ms. Roberta Loew and Mr. John Isgro and they are proud to say that the company is successfully collaborating with several organizations, both teaching and staging productions, with great results.

            Roberta Loew has been described as one of the most passionate and inspiring teachers by both her colleagues and students. Her teaching style has an exciting and humorous approach that allows her students to feel at ease to express themselves. Roberta works singing and performing nationwide, with credits including New York’s Nassau Coliseum, New Jersey’s Atlantic City, Chicago’s Auditorium Theater and Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium. Her acting career includes film work, national network commercials, musical theater, and the off-Broadway hit, “The Soapranos.” She has also worked on several music videos and has done voice-over work on both TV and radio. She is an alumna of the Lee Strasburg Acting Studio. Her love for teaching came about when she graduated from the Gushee/Anania acting studio. Roberta sharpened her teaching skills and techniques under the direction of Phil Gushee.

            Roberta has enjoyed teaching vocal instruction professionally to children and adults for over ten years. As well as the tremendous success that her acting students have enjoyed, Roberta has trained hundreds of vocal students, many of whom went on to recording contracts, TV and radio voice-overs and musical theater.

            John Isgro is a well-respected Associate Professor at CalStateFullertonCollege. John has an honest and direct approach to his teaching style and is sought after for his teaching on both the East and West coasts. After working as a professional actor for several years in New York, John made the transition to the West coast to pursue his masters degree in acting. John has an extensive acting resume, he has performed in a wide range of off-Broadway shows and children’s theatre and has expertise in teaching and performing the works of Shakespeare. John’s knowledge is not just limited to the stage, he has also worked extensively in film and television. He worked for over five years on the air at WMGM and has developed a great deal of knowledge and insight about the television industry.

            ACTING OUT! has a large list of children who have studied with them and have gone on to auditions where they have been cast for various acting roles or were accepted into the performing arts schools of their choice. Adults who have studied, both novice and professionals, learned to sharpen their skills and acquired the knowledge to proceed further in their professional acting careers. Roberta, John and the staff at ACTING OUT! are committed to helping children and adults understand and enjoy the world of acting, singing and performing. Come take a class.
